FDNY MEDAL DAY 2008

Some pics of Squad 41 members on Medal Day. Lt. Sean Genovese and FF Steve Gillespie from Sq 41 both received Medals for the rescue of trapped occupants during a store fire in the Bronx last July. As in many cases throughout New York, relatives of the store owner lived in the rear of the store in a makeshift loft to provide security for the store. Fire broke out and they became trapped. The inside team from Sq 41 (Lt. Genovese, FF Gillespie and FF Lindy) entered and searched. The men were found by Lt. Genovese and FF Gillespie in a walk-in cooler. Great Job !!!
