Elderly Living Fire - Taftville 12/1/06

Here is a couple pics of the Elderly living fire in Taftville. I do not have much info about this fire. I arrived about 2 hours into it and most units were already dismissed. Visit Shane's site, Eastern Connecticut Fire for more information. He has some good pics and narrative.
Also check out my apparatus page for some more pics.

WATERFORD FIRE 11/27/06

Here is a few pics taken of a fire at the Waterford Proffessional Complex on Vauxhall St. I don't have very much info on this fire but from what I heard it may have been started by a piece of office equipment producing a very smokey fire. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

On November 1, 2006 the Poquonnock Bridge Fire Department along with Groton City, Sub Base and Mystic Departments had participated in some live fire training. Keith Gomes from Mohegan Tribal FD (working for Groton Ambulance) was the Q's Fire Ground Photographer for the day. He took close to 900 pictures of this training. As you can imagine it has taken a long time to get through them all. Thanks again Keith. So all pictures shown of this burn Keith shot.

WATER EMERGENCY - GALES FERRY 10-12-06

Pictures taken by LT Andrew Thomasson
On October 12th the Gales Ferry and Ledyard Departments responded to Poq. Cove for a reported canoe turned over. On arrival an over turned canoe was found with an object floating about 200 feet away. It was determined that the floating object was probably drift wood. Members of GFFC donned the Mustang suits to make there way to the canoe. Prior to entering the water, the owner of the canoe was found and no entry was made. Units stood by while the owner kayaked out to the canoe to return it to the dock. Apparently the canoe had been in the water for 3 days.
