MVA EJECTION - OLD MYSTIC





On july 11th the Old Mystic Fire Dept. along with Mystic River Ambulance and an L&M Medic were called to Rt.184 at Cow Hill Rd. for a MVA with injeries. In route GFA updated that there was one Pt. that was ejected out the windsheild. On arrival one Pt. was found on the hood of a flat bed truck with another Pt. in another vehicle. A second ambulance was called to the scene from Groton ambulance to transport the victim that was in the separate vehicle, while OMFD personal stablized the truck and removed the driver from the hood.

BRUSH FIRE TRAINING - OLD MYSTIC





On Monday July 7th, the Old Mystic Fire Dept. conducted live brush fire training to remove a large pile of brush from a home owners property. Members reviewed brush fire tactics and taught new members how to fight brush fires. The Pile of brush was 15ft tall and 30ft wide. The home owners once the fire died down used an excavator to dig a trench around the fire and was then filled with water.

CAR INTO BUILDING - OLD MYSTIC







On July 4th, the Old Mystic Fire Dept and Mystic River Ambulance were called to 2 coogan Blvd. the Mcdonalds for a car into the building with injuries. First units on scene reported damage to the main dinning room wall and Mystic River Ambulance uptained refusals. The store closed for the night and will most likely remained closed for a couple of days.
