MVA's - PBFD


4/21/07 early am. Car vs Hydrant on 12 at tollgate. 1 baby transported by GAA, 1 driver transported by GTPD.

On 4/24/07 --- I-95 NB between 88 and 89. E-33, OMFD Rescue 67 and an engine. Driver self extricated and climbed up the embankment with CSP's assistance. 33 held the scene for extended wrecker operations.

On April 24th the Gales Ferry, Ledyard Departments responded to Route 12 in front of Holmbergs Orcherd for a 3 car mva. 1 pt was pronounced on scene, 2 pts were transported ALS and one refusal was obtained.

NEW LONDON WORKING FIRE










On April 23rd the New London FD was dispatched to Greene St. for a report of a fire with a child trapped on the 3rd floor with multiple reports. On arrival a small fire was found on the 3rd floor of the B side of the building. Units found no child trapped in the building and the fire was contained quickly.

ROOM AND CONTENTS -CGVFD










On April 19th around 0715hrs the Center Groton VFD was sent to the 70's block of Lambtown Road for a reported fire. Units started a 1st alarm assignment and the tanker task force. The Old Mystic, Subase FAST, Ledyard, Gales Ferry, Poquetanuck, Mystic River AA responded to the alarm. The fire was contained quickly with Old Mystic G65 arrived on scene with a 5 man crew. The fire was kept to a bedroom.

MVA - GALES FERRY





On April 18th the Gales Ferry, Ledyard, Ledyard Ambulance departments were dispatched to Route 12 @ Long Cove Road for mva. On arrival 29-2 reported a car vs dump truck. As you can see the other vehicle was a wheel chair van. The driver of the vehicle was unable to use the doors to get out of the van. The rear doors and ramp were used to allow the driver to walk out.

The first 2 pics were from D shift. If it wasn't for the tree the car would have ended up in the house. And the other pictures was from A shift and this took place on winding hollow road. The Fire Alarm Box, the Transformer and the Phone Box were all taken out by this Almost brand new Dodge 2500. These all happened on Friday the 13th.

During the early hours of April 2nd around 1am, after returning from a possible structure fire, turned out to be not as reported, Engine 33 was dispatched to I 95 S for a mva with injuries. 1 pt was transported ALS from the scene by Groton Ambulance and L & M Medics.

A 1st Alarm assignment was transmitted for Antinio Acura on Route 184 in Groton on March 31st. A report of a fire on the roof was called in by an employee. Thanks Bill for the pictures.
